Tool Instructions

Selection Arrow
Modify image by pulling on handles and moving the points. Click an object on the canvas.
The yellow balls with rods are the handles. The yellow circles outlined in black are the points.
By tweaking a handle you can alter the shape of any curve or any line. Just click the object and the handles will show up. Grab the handle and move it around. Each point has a handle. You can also grab onto the points and pull Them outward or inward or wherever to also distort the shape.

Move Arrow
Use the move arrow to move objects around the canvas. Just click the object (black part),
Hold, and then move the object around the canvas with your mouse. You can also use the move Arrow to distort the points like you did with the selection tool, but to get the handles, you need to use the selection tool. When using the move arrow be sure to grab the object and not the point. If you grab the point, you will change the shape of the object.

Shape Tool
Use the shape tool to draw more objects for your design. Drop down a point by clicking the
mouse on the canvas. Then drop another point elsewhere on the canvas. You will see a
line extending from that point .By your third point you will see a shape forming. Once a shape is created, grab the selection tool and distort this new object. HINT: A shape needs at least three points dropped in order to take shape. This is a powerful tool; all the templates here were created using the shape tool as the start.

Rotate Tool
To use the rotate tool click the object you wish to rotate. You'll see the points show up.The
image is now live to rotate. Just GRAB A POINT and rotate right or left. Any point can serve
as the point to rotate with. You can group objects together and rotate them as one by holding down the shift key when selecting. If you select the object itself you can move the object around on the canvas the same way you would with the move tool.

Scale Tool
Use the scale tool to increase, decrease, flip, squish, or stretch an object. Click the object
you wish to scale. Then GRAB A POINT, hold, and MOVE SLOWLY. This is the trickiest
tool and can be wild sometimes so make sure you go slowly. HINT: the best way to use it is to grab a point, which is either the highest or lowest on either side, and move at a SLOW 45 degree angle. PRACTICE WITH THIS TOOL BEFORE USING IT ON A FINAL DESIGN - LIKE I SAID. IT CAN BE A WILD BULL SO GO SLOW.

Delete Tool
Use the delete tool to delete a selected object. Just select the object then hit the icon (the X)
And the object will be removed from the canvas. HINT: be sure you select the object you
want deleted before hitting the delete tool and make sure objects you don't want deleted are not highlighted. You can select multiple objects by holding down the shift key when selecting.
